3. Keep off of chemicals

In our daily life, we use a lot of items that are made of a variety of chemical components, harmful for human health in general. Make sure you are excessively exposed to any of those chemicals that are commonly found in nail polishes, nail polish removers, cosmetics, soaps, cleaning agents like dishwater, floor cleaners, detergent, etc.  Choose natural alternatives.

4. Sleep at least 7 hours a day

Among other things, your body needs to be well rested for your IVF treatment to be successful since the quality and quantity of sleep impact fertility, recent studies done on the subject show. A moderate amount of sleep of 7 to 8 hours is recommended for women undergoing IVF treatment.

 5. Go to bed between 10 Pm and 11 PM

Melatonin, a hormone that not only regulates sleep but also reproduction, peaks between 9-12 PM. This makes 10-11 PM the ideal window to go to sleep.

6. Stay off of alcohol

While total abstinence from alcohol is not prescribed as is the case with smoking, mixing of your hormone medication with alcohol could impact the positive outcome of the treatment. To be on the safe side, it is better to stick with abstinence for the time being.

7. No pill popping without doctor consultation

Since medicines are more easily accessible in India, many people develop the tendency to use medication even at the slightest discomfort in the body without ever discussing with a medical practitioner. During this stage, no such mistake should be made that could jeopardize the chances of the success of your IVF treatment.

 8. Work out at home

Walking, running, yoga, pilates, cycling, swimming, and strength training are all good options when you are trying to get pregnant. However, in your own best interest, try to work out at home, under the guidance of a certified trainer. We are all aware that gymnasiums are breeding grounds of bacteria. Considering the coronavirus infections have not disappeared, it is well advised to stay off of gyms for the time being.

 9. Lower screen time
